Anderson Student Houses offer a fully inclusive accommodation package from £66 per week to include GAS, ELECTRIC, WATER, BROADBAND & INSURANCE.

Our aim is to supply excellent quality student accommodation at reasonable rents close to Loughborough University, to provide a full, personable, efficient & friendly service and to let Student Houses to be proud of.

Information

James and Annie Anderson with over 20 years experience as a private landlord, take a great personal pride and interest in managing good quality student accommodation in Loughborough.

We have terraced houses in the recognised student area, and houses in Alan Moss Road, a quieter residential area, five minutes walk from the Loughborough University, where accommodation is more spacious with gardens and outbuildings for cycles...etc and good car parking facilities.

Our aim has always been to provide excellent quality student accommodation at reasonable rents, but most importantly a friendly, personal service when required. By dealing direct with the private landlord, rather than an agent, the tenant is more likely to obtain an instant response to any issue, particularly, maintenance requests and there are no agents fees or letting fees to pay.

Anderson Student Houses are fully compliant with gas, electricity and fire regulations and are fitted to a high standard of accommodation with modern beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture. Kitchens are well equipped, with fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, washing machine, electric kettle & toaster. Kitchens are professionally cleaned prior to occupation and are bright and cheerful.

Bathrooms too are immaculately clean, are “upstairs” in all properties where they should be and have a bath and shower hygienically tiled or carpeted throughout.

The hot water, plumbing and central heating systems are fully programmable and in excellent order, maintained by experienced CORGI registered engineers familiar with our houses.

Anderson Student Houses are fully networked for easy computer access to broadband from each study room.

Properties are refurbished without being institutionalised so that each house maintains a unique identity. Communal living areas are newly decorated and tastefully arranged with contemporary furniture. Together with all sleeping accommodation, the study rooms, stairs & landings are carpeted throughout. A modern upright vacuum cleaner is supplied with on board cleaning tools to all properties.

Houses have garden and patio areas, some of which are extensive, private and well established with fruit trees, and ornamental plants. We are fortunate to have the services of a dedicated gardener to keep our gardens attractive and tidy.

Contact us again if you are interested in renting one of our student houses or if there are any questions you would like resolved.

We can then meet to discuss contractual details deposits... etc.

There are NO ADMIN CHARGES or SIGNING ON FEES.

A returnable security deposit of £200 per person is payable to secure the house.

If you use Internet Explorer or Netscape, the following guidelines will enable you to enlarge the text and change the colours on your screen.

Instructions for users of Microsoft Internet Explorer

For PC

Open Internet Explorer.
Select 'Tools' from the menu at the top.
Select 'Internet options'.
Click on the 'General' tab.
Click on the button marked 'Accessibility'.
To change your font size, select the checkbox marked 'Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages'.
To remove background and font colours, select the checkbox marked 'Ignore colours specified on web pages'.
Click 'OK'.
Select 'View' from the menu at the top.
Select 'Text size'.
Select your desired text size.

For Macintosh

Open Internet Explorer.
Select the 'Edit' menu.
Select 'Preference'.
Click on 'Web content'.
Deselect the button marked 'Show style sheets'.
Return to the list of preferences.
Click on 'Web browser'.
Select 'Language/fonts'.
Select the font size you require.

Instructions for users of Netscape Navigator (version 6 and up)

To change the text size:

Select 'Edit' from the menu at the top, and choose 'Preferences'.
Click on the arrow next to 'Appearance' to expand the menu, and select 'Fonts'.
Next to 'Fonts for:' should read 'Western'.
In the drop-down box for 'Proportional', select 'Sans-serif'. For the size select 18.
In the drop-down box for 'Monospace', it should already say 'Courier New'. From 'Size' select 18.
In the 'Minimum font size' box select size 18.
Remove the tick next to 'Allow documents to use other fonts'.
Click 'OK'.

To change the page colours:

Select 'Edit' from the menu at the top of the window and choose 'Preferences'.
Click on the arrow next to 'Appearance' to expand the menu, and select 'Colors'.
Select a color button to change colours of text, background, unvisited links, or visited links.
Tick 'Use my chosen colors, ignoring the colors and background image chosen' option.
Click 'OK'.

Instructions for users of Mozilla Firefox

To change the text size:

In the Tools menu, select 'Options'.
Click on the 'Content' tab.
Next to 'Default Font', set the Size to 18.
Click 'OK'.

You can also hold down the Ctrl key (for a PC) or the Cmd key (for a Macintosh) and press the + sign to increase the text size on a particular page.

To change the page colours:

In the Tools menu, select 'Options'.
Click on the 'Content' tab.
Click on the 'Colours' button, and select the colours you want for text, background, unvisited links and visited links.
Remove the tick against 'Allow pages to choose their own colours'.
Click 'OK', then 'OK' again.
